Now, you can embark on your own voyage of discovery to these mythical islands off the coast of Ecuador, but with an entirely different standard than our friend Charles experienced.
Aqua Expeditions' superyacht, Aqua Mare, takes you to the volcanic islands in style. This vessel accommodates only 16 passengers, distributed among seven specially designed suites, offering one of the foremost cruise experiences available. The Mare is equipped with a hot tub, a private lounge, sun decks, and panoramic views of the stunning seascape. The food and service are, of course, far beyond five-star quality.
The Galapagos Islands obtained UNESCO World Heritage status in 1978, consisting of 18 islands and 100 small islets, a little over 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador. Here in the Pacific, a perfect storm has arisen: close to the equator, volcanic terrain, and underwater currents create optimal conditions for unique plant and animal life.
On an expedition with Aqua Mare, you have the opportunity to explore this incredible place both on land and at sea. You can hike, accompanied by experts who will explain and help you spot the animals. Snorkeling will reveal colorful fish, rays, and coral reefs. In the air, you'll witness unique birds maneuvering through the wind, and most likely, you'll see Darwin's finches. The team on the boat ensures that every day brings a new experience!
At the end of each day, you'll return to the boat to absorb all the impressions in absolute luxury.
